Come celebrate the true spirit of Christmas with Cork Feminista Saturday December 7 at 12pm in the Cork City Library where we will decorate a tree with Christmas wishes of the women and children staying at Edel House this holiday season. You are invited to bring your own ornament to decorate the Giving Tree and join us afterwards for refreshments and merrymaking at The Other Place on South Main St.
In the remaining weeks before Christmas, Cork Feminista’s Giving Tree will offer people the chance to exhibit their generosity, one of the greatest human qualities, by taking a wish from the tree and turning it into a gift for a woman or child at Edel House.
For more information, please contact Cork Feminista at email@example.com or share your generous side with us at facebook.com/corkfeminista and twitter.com/corkfeminista
Edel House is a residential centre for girls, women and children who are homeless. The service addresses the reality of those who find themselves homeless by offering accommodation and much needed support. The service offers both emergency and medium term accommodation.
Cork Feminista is a voluntary organisation committed to advocating gender equality. We arrange monthly meetings around topical human rights and feminist issues, host creative workshops, fund-raisers, and campaign events. We develop and maintain interagency links with human rights groups and feminist organisations throughout Ireland and internationally.
