Today is a bittersweet IWD for us as we write this post to let you know of a change that’s happening here at Cork Feminista. We – Jen and Linda, the co-founders of Cork Feminista – are stepping back and a new cohort of organisers are coming in. Since August 2010, we’ve poured our energy, hearts and activism into establishing Cork Feminista as an unapologetic space for feminism in Cork. Now we feel the time has come for the organisation to take the next step. We are very excited to have three new organisers who are going to lead Cork Feminista into the year ahead.
So we would like to officially introduce you to the three new organisers of Cork Feminista: Maureen Considine, Emily Davis-Fletcher and Liz Madden. They come from diverse backgrounds and bring a wealth of experience and enthusiasm as well as new and fresh ideas to take Cork Feminista to new places.
From the very beginning we have been overwhelmed by the levels of support and interest for Cork Feminista and we can’t wait to see what amazing things the organisation will do in the future. We hope you will give them as much support and encouragement as you have given us over the last few years.
Happy feministing and always in solidarity,
Jen & Linda
