As you may know, International Women’s Day is this Friday March 8th.
FemSoc was hoping to screen an excellent documentary about women in
the media, MissRepresentation, but unfortunately we have had problems
getting our hands on a copy. We are going to link in with other events
around the city – more info on that soon.
*****Date for your diary – AGM*****
It’s that time of year again and next Wednesday March 13th, 7pm, ORB

There are several positions available: Auditor, PRO, Secretary, First

the positions or to express interest. See the Facebook event here for

*****Cork March for Choice****
This Saturday’s March for Choice is part of the National Abortion
Rights Campaign’s 10 Days of Action and, with any luck, may have the
biggest turnout of a Pro-Choice event in Cork in the last 10 years.
The country is talking about abortion again finally – and we’re very
excited to be taking a stand.
We need volunteers to make the day go smoothly. There will be loads of
jobs for all types. If you would like to help out simply email
firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and phone number and then meet
us outside the Cork Library at 12.30 on Saturday outside the Cork
Library on Grande Parade.
**Does anyone have first aid qualifications?**
We have a particular need for volunteers with first aid
qualifications. Again – contact email@example.com or ring 087
168 1670 if you can put your name on a list of attendees with such
Also make sure you confirm you are attending the event on facebook,
then pop on some tunes on the ipod and take 5 minutes to tick lots of
boxes and invite everyone you to it with the exception of those you
know who aren’t living in cork.
See you at one of these events,
