WOMEN’S LIVES MATTER!
Today, (Monday, March 4), at 6pm outside the Central Bank, Dame Street, Dublin, supporters of Action on X will stage a rally to highlight the 21st anniversary of the X case.
A wide range of civil society organisations, trade unions, academics, activists and politicians, will call on government to introduce X case legislation without delay and with no restrictions that make abortion unavailable in practice.
Speakers representing the National Women’s Council of Ireland, AkiDwA, the migrant women’s network, Terminations for Medical Reasons, Doctors for Choice and student body USI among others will address the rally.
This march is officially supported by SIPTU, Unite the Union, the ICTU Women’s Committee, the National Women’s Council of Ireland, Terminations for Medical Reasons, AkiDwA and USI.
The Action on X statement with its four demands for accessible abortion in Ireland has been signed by over 100 organisations and individuals. It can be found on our Facebook page at Action on X.
