Film description follows :

Gadjo Dilo (1997) 102 mins. Dir. Tony Gatlif

Stéphane, a young French man from Paris, travels to Romania. He is looking for the singer Nora Luca, whom his father had played all the time before his death. Wandering along a frozen road, he meets old Izidor, a member of the Roma (Gypsy) and tries tell him of Nora Luca.

Izidor hears the handful of Romani words takes him to his village, determined to teach the boy the Romani language. In his search for the singer, he finds much more.

The film was shot at the village of Cretulesti near Bucharest and some of the actors are local Romani people.
